It's extremely quick and easy to upload or create recordings for use with your call routing and voicemail configurations! Before we begin, please note that your recordings should be longer than 6 seconds in length but under 2 minutes and 59 seconds.
Recordings used in campaigns should also be in compliance with TSR Guidelines.* This means that the caller's legal name (i.e. registered company name, DBA, or Sole Proprietor's legal first and last name) is clearly stated at the beginning of the recording, followed by a clear reason for the call.** An example of best practice would be something like, "Hi, this is Jane Doe from Example Company. I wanted to touch base with you about..."
Now, that we have the basics down, let's dive into uploading and creating your recordings.
Have a recording already that you want to use?
From the Manage menu on the left-hand side of your account, click "Recordings".
2. Next, select the "Add Recording" button on the right side.
3. Add a name for your recording. We recommend using something that will easily help you identify which recording you are selecting in your campaigns or your IVRs.
4. Next, you can choose to drag and drop or upload your pre-recorded audio file. The system can accept .mp3 or .wav files.
Don't have a recording?
No problem! You can select the "Dial-In" option and follow the system prompts to create a recording.
You'll need to dial the displayed 888 number where you will be prompted to enter your pin. Please note that the pin will expire after a few minutes, so please make sure you are creating your recordings in real-time right after the pin is generated.
After you enter the pin, you will be prompted to speak your recording. Please do not hang up after speaking as you will have additional prompts to see if you would like to keep your recording, or to see if you would like to rerecord. Once you have followed all the prompts, the screen will update and your recording will be present in your list.
Need to rename a recording?
Locate the recording you wish to rename and click the Pencil icon to the right of the recording name.
After you have renamed your recording, click the blue checkbox to save your edit.
Need to delete a recording?
Locate the recording you wish to delete.
Click the three horizontal dots located on the far right side of the recording play bar.
Click Delete Recording.
