With a few clicks, you'll have your dialing rules configured in no time! These rules will be the default setting for dialing all of your lists. Please follow the below instructions to get started!

To Access the Dialing Rules

  • In the Manage menu locate and click 'Lists'.

  • Click the 'Default Dialing Rules' button.

Adjusting Your Settings

  • Return Call Route & Caller ID: Select the call route you would like to use by clicking the drop-down menu. The call route will be used to handle inbound calls and texts. The dialer will select a caller id from the phone numbers assigned to the route that has the closest geographic proximity to the contact being dialed.

  • Dispositions: Choose your key-press numbers for your call dispositions. You will be able to enter two custom dispositions if you wish. You can title custom dispositions in the label field for the custom disposition. Please ensure that you are dispositioning your calls using the key press options when prompted by the system.

  • Announcements: Select what you would like the dialer to announce when you are calling your contacts. This will allow the system to announce who you have connected to. The data will appear in the dial pad in your Call Cowboy account. **Please note this feature does not make verbal announcements when you're on the go.

  • Voicemail Drop: Select the recording you would like to leave if your contact doesn't answer your call. Please note that you will need to press the designated key when you hear your contact's answering machine beep. After you press the button, the system will leave the recording you have selected. If you choose more than one recording, we will randomly select a recording from the list.

  • Premium Features: If you have purchased a usage-based plan, or if you have added funds to your account balance, you can toggle this setting to 'Yes' to enable recording and transcription of your calls. Recorded calls are saved for 12 months and the content of transcripts is searchable within your Call Cowboy account. Recording and transcription will be deducted from your account balance at a rate of 3 cents per minute. Please note that if you do not have funds available within your account balance, the system will be unable to record or transcribe the calls.
